Welcome to our new and improved web site. It has been a long time in development primarily due to the regulatory environment that we must comply with and the method in which it is imposed on regulated financial advisors. The reason that I say regulated financial advisors has to do with the fact that journalists, who are not regulated, can say anything that comes in to their heads regardless of its accuracy or bias without consequence from our regulators.
One of the primary reasons for the new look on this website and, in particular, the “blog”, is to present a different point of view to some of the more inflammatory position taken within the media. I have often said that the media invades us daily and bombards us with their opinions whereas we, as your financial advisors, get to meet with you a few times a year. Our newsletters present our thoughts to you five or six times. This is supplemented with sporadic phone calls. From our perspective, we are fighting an uphill battle in the information war to help you realize your financial objectives.
We have made a commitment to provide you with current information about our complex and ever-changing financial world along with how other factors can impact your life. We will comment on areas that may not seem to be directly linked to finance or economics. Areas like legislative initiatives, social policy, international relations all have indirect impact on our economic world. We will present to you a point of view created from our perspective with your interests as the focal point.
Our intention is to provide updates to this website on a weekly basis. There will be times that the updates are more frequent but our commitment to once a week is firm. We would invite you to subscribe to these updates so that you can be notified by Email when something new is posted. The blog will facilitate comments from registered users on a moderated basis. We would welcome your participation.
